This week’s word is buildup, and it is from a book called Good to Great. This book was written by a fella named Jim Collins. It is one of those how to not burn a business into the ground books. Enjoy!

[perfectpullquote align=”left” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Nicknames.[/perfectpullquote]

We’ve all got them.  What might yours be?  Nicknames.  We’ve all got them, mine was once Chewy (true story).  A way of disguising and a way of being.  The name may be different, but it’s still the same person you are seeing.  Same eyes, and the same hair.  Same passions and the same cares.  Folks may call you differently, but we all still think the same.  I wonder how those super heroes feel; All those avengers, and their crazy end games.  The lives they are leading, seeing things which most folks do not know.[perfectpullquote align=”right” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]What will you call me?  And what will I call you?[/perfectpullquote]

If you had a nickname, on you would it grow?  Would it become you, and take over your mind, or would it just be more letters and a new way for people to tell you hi.  Either way, these names can be good.  If they are from friends, accept them you should.  If they come from foes, the intention may be wrong.  Nicknames from enemies should be laughed about in a song.  [perfectpullquote align=”left” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Nicknames are for fun, don’t let them define you.[/perfectpullquote]

Words are very powerful, and the wounds can always be healed.  Nicknames are for fun, and a smile it should never steal.

[perfectpullquote align=”left” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]After. [/perfectpullquote]

After this, and after that.  I’ll do it later when I am wearing a different hat.  A word associated with things being postponed.  I’ll do my homework later mom; maybe when I am not so stoned.  A line I have never said, but you could imagine what she would have done after.  The homework would have been the least of my problems.  The day would have been a disaster.    You can have your ice cream after you eat your peas.  Why must I do things I don’t like in order to be pleased? [perfectpullquote align=”right” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Things that come after are worth waiting for.[/perfectpullquote]

Little life lessons I was taught when I was young.  The fun stuff comes after the harder stuff is done.  Rake the leaves, and do your chores.  After that, the day is yours.  Do your homework, and wash your face.  After that you can go stay at Jimmy’s place.   Today was a day where I had almost postponed.  I said I could do the weekly word later after eating, and seeing a face that made me feel at home.

[perfectpullquote align=”left” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Inspiration can’t be forced, but it can be ignited.[/perfectpullquote]

Inspiration comes and inspiration goes.  When will it come after this, I sure do not know.  I may write another one when I’m feeling more in line, but for now I am starving.  After this sentence I shall go dine.
